Joe identifies the deeper pattern: her coaching is actually a continuation of the performance — she’s still trying to “save” people (her parents) rather than genuinely connecting.

The career shift from comedy to coaching looked like a move toward authenticity, but the underlying relational pattern remained unchanged. She’s coaching from the same place she did comedy — performing for connection rather than being herself. That’s what blocks the money.

“How much the coaching is actually just you still trying to save your parents? … That’s what’s getting in the way of you making money coaching.”

The insight is that authentic earning requires authentic being. When the service itself is still a performance — even a helping one — clients sense it and the exchange remains incomplete. The money block lifts when the person behind the work stops performing and starts being.
