Joe closes his relationship teaching with perhaps the most fundamental principle: the relationship you have with another person is a reflection of the relationship you have with yourself. If you’re at war with yourself, you’ll be at war with your partner. If you love yourself, you’ll have a loving marriage.

This is why “make it all about you” works — not as selfishness, but as the recognition that you can only bring to a relationship what you’ve cultivated within yourself. Working on your self-relationship is working on every relationship simultaneously: your partner, your company, your friends.

This mirrors the broader VIEW teaching that external reality reflects internal reality. The relationship is the mirror, not the problem.
