Joe acknowledges with heartbreak that any teaching of significance will eventually be used to oppress people. Someone will turn VIEW into a new morality — “you’re not in wonder enough” — and use it as a weapon against their partner. This is the same pattern that happened with the words of Christ, Buddha, or any transformative framework. Even love gets weaponized.
The corruption doesn’t require bad intentions. People who haven’t examined their own shadow will unconsciously use powerful tools in service of that shadow. Tools created from one person’s consciousness become dangerous when wielded by someone whose consciousness didn’t create them, because they lack the full understanding of what they’re working with.
