A counterintuitive byproduct of attuning to yourself is that the noise in your head gets quieter. The circular mental chatter — “what if I did this, I shouldn’t have done that” — diminishes as you practice being with yourself somatically. In its place, you begin to hear quieter signals: whisper-level wants, gut-level knowing, and pulls toward things that don’t make logical sense but feel right.

“The more I was actually being with myself, the quieter that got. I was able to listen to quieter whisper wants and intuition.”

This has direct implications for goal-setting and career decisions. Janine discovered through attunement that she didn’t want 40 coaching clients — she wanted 20 deeply fulfilling ones. Later she heard a persistent pull to shift from individual coaching to teaching and holding groups. Without the quieting of mental noise, these authentic wants would have stayed buried under anxious planning.
